Alexandra Maxwell
Alexandra Maxwell received her bachelor's
degree from Columbia University and received
her law degree from Pace University School
of Law, cum laude, where she was an Editor
of the Pace International Law Review. Ms.
Maxwell is admitted to the New York and
Connecticut Bars; as well as the United
States District Court for the Southern
District of New York. She is a member of the
New York State Bar Association, the
Westchester County Bar Association, and a
member of its New Lawyers Section and Family
Law Section, as well as the Westchester
Women’s Bar Association. Her primary area of
practice is civil litigation, including
matrimonial litigation.
During law school, Ms. Maxwell worked at
boutique law firms focusing on matrimonial
trial and appellate work. Prior to law
school, Ms. Maxwell interned for Congressman
Gary L. Ackerman (D-NY); Senator Barbara
Mikulski(D-MD); NBC News; and for ABC's
Barbara Walters’ “The View”. Ms. Maxwell has
done volunteer work for the Domestic
Violence Assistance Program and the Office
of the Public Defender in Montgomery County,
Maryland as well as at Kibbutz Tirat Tzvi in
Israel. Her published works include The
Disparity in Treatment of International
Custody Disputes in American Courts: A Post
September 11th Analysis, a comment published
in the Pace International Law Review's
