John G. Callahan
John G. Callahan graduated from Fordham
University in 1971 and cum laude from
St. John’s University School of Law in 1975.
He is Of Counsel to the Firm. He was
admitted to the Bar of the State of New York
in 1976. He is also admitted to the Southern
and Eastern Districts of New York.
Mr. Callahan served as Corporation
Counsel for the City of White Plains from
1994 to 1998. He also served as Town
Attorney for the Town of Eastchester from
1986 to 1994, and as Special Assistant for
the City of Yonkers from 1988 to 1989, where
he acted as a consultant on matters
involving municipal law. He was a Special
Assistant Attorney General in the New York
State Special Prosecutor’s Office from 1975
to 1985, where he was responsible for the
investigation and prosecution of cases of
official corruption in the New York City
Criminal Justice System. He served as Bronx
County Bureau Chief in that office. He is
currently a Special Litigation Counsel and
City Prosecutor for the City of New
Rochelle.
He has previously served as the President
of the Eastchester Bar Association, Delegate
of the Westchester County Bar Association,
and Chairman of the Tuckahoe Urban Renewal
Agency. He is currently a Vice-President of
the Westchester-Putnam Council of the Boys
Scouts of America. He is a member of the New
York State, Westchester County and New
Rochelle Bar Associations. He has served as
an Assistant Professor in the departments of
Political Science and Sociology at Fordham
University. He has lectured on subjects
relating to municipal law in continuing
legal education programs of the Westchester
County Bar Association and the New York
State Bar Association. |
